Inside the building of the Staatsarchiv Bremen are some rooms of Die Maus located where members can do their research. In the library of Die Maus fotocopies of the curch books of all churches in Bremen are available from the beginning to 1811, Civil-registers are available from 1811 - 1875. Also a lot of books, magazines and others sources are available in the own library. In addition the researchers can use the big library of the Staatsarchiv Bremen.
Every Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm the rooms are open for people looking for help. For other dates please contact Die Maus directly.
Written questions from all over the world are being answered by members of the society. They would like also to help you.
During the winter period there are held a lot of interesting specialist talks. Each sommer-period it is planned to make a study tour and visit interesting historical points.
Members will receive 2 times a year an own Maus society newspaper and 4 times a year the magazine:Niederdeutsche Familienkunde together with the german genealogic advertisement magazine Familienkundliche Nachrichten.
